Term Fun Home is a home set up to look into the welfare of Shan children who are not able to meet their basic needs in life in the Northern Thai provinces of Chiangmai, Chiangrai and Mae Hong Son. The Home seeks to help to meet the needs of these children, and more than that, to enable these children to fulfill their dreams by loving and caring for them with the love of GOD. Through providing quality care to these little ones, Term Fun Home hopes that they will grow up to be citizens that will play their part in the Thai society. We hope to play a part to make a difference in their lives together with your help.

Angela is a Singaporean missionary and has been based in Thailand since 2009. Together with her husband, John, who is a Shan himself, they set up Term Fun Home, a      children’s home  especially for the Shan. Apart from being a home to the children, their prayer is that the Home will be able to introduce and model Christ to them from a young age.

Term Fun Home is the fruit of what God has impressed upon John and Angela in our ministry with the Shan people here in Thailand. As a Shan himself, John is aware just how difficult it is to reach out to his fellow people, especially the adults, having been immersed in a thoroughly Buddhist culture and environment since young. As we pray and seek God’s direction on our area of ministry, it occurred to us that both of us have gifts ministering to children, and the best way to reach the Shan is probably through introducing and modeling Christ to them since a young age. And so the vision of Term Fun Home was born.
Term Fun Home is currently based in the home of John and Angela. Currently the Home has 5 boys aged between 7-9 years old. The vision is eventually to be able to purchase a plot of land and build a Home that can accommodate 30-50 Shan children.

What happens after they come in?
• The children will be looked after by the house parents until they are 18 years old
• They will be looked after like our own children. As such, every set of house parents will have no more than 10 children so that more quality care can be given
